HERNDON, VA – The DC Grays exploded for 11 hits and 10 runs in a 10-3 rout of the FCA Herndon Braves on the road Monday night. The Grays’s second straight win victory raises their record to 13-22 on the season.

Grays RF Harrison Freed (Butler) stole the show for DC, slugging four home runs and driving in six runs. Freed now leads the Ripken League with seven homers on the season.  Grays SS Jacob Maekawa (San Diego State) continued his recent hot streak with a pair of hits along with a pair of RBI.

The Grays pitching started with RHP Isiah Kearns (West Virginia) who went six innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out six. It finished with RHP Collin Brown (Catholic U of America) who pitched a scoreless ninth and didn’t give up a hit.

The Grays will try to extend the winning after the off day on Tuesday.  On Wednesday they travel to face the Loudoun Riverdogs in a double-header. First game is scheduled for 5 PM at Rock Ridge High School.
