Grays defeat Orioles in Baltimore

July 9, 2012 – The DC Grays notched an important road win yesterday, besting Youse’s Orioles 6-4 at Bachman Park in Baltimore. The win raises the Grays’ record to 11-14 in their inaugural season in the Ripken League.

Grays 3B Troy Marrow (NC Central) drove in two runs with a single and a sacrifice fly to lead the way for DC, and Blake Louscher (Central Michigan) picked up the win with two innings of shutout relief in support of Grays starter Joel Castillo (Morehead State). The Grays get a day off for the Ripken League All-Star game tomorrow, and then return home to Hoy Field on Thursday to host the Baltimore Redbirds at 5:00pm.
