WASHINGTON, DC – – The D.C Grays continued their hot streak on Monday night, with a 10-7 home win against the FCA Braves.  The Grays also secured solo possession of second place in the Ripken League with a 13-11 mark.

DC came ready to work at the plate, where eight of the nine batters on the night got a hit. The team totaled  11 hits on the night. 3B Blake Martin (Southern) shined, as he went three for five with two doubles and a single along with a run. CF Michael Wynne (Wofford) came  up big in the seventh inning with a grand slam to give the Grays the lead.  He had five RBI’s on the night. RF Jordan Wiley (Louisiana Lafayette) also had a home run of his own in the seventh – his fourth of for season.

Grays, starting pitcher Bryce Ross (Southern) has a tough night – allowing seven hits and five runs and striking out four on 3.2 innings.  In relief, P Frank Craska (Lafayette) allowed one run on two hits.  P Jacob Hardney (Marymount) struck out three Braves in one inning of work.  Both P Jarren Norman (Virginia St) and P/INF Austin Deming (BYU) also worked an inning apiece. 

The Grays look to keep on a roll as they play the Gaithersburg Giants on Tuesday in the Nation’s Capital at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy starting at 7 pm.
