The DC Grays proudly held 5 clinics this year and hosted more kids than any previous season. Nearly 100 3rd and 4th grade boys and girls from the Boys and Girls Club and the Richard England Clubhouse attended clinics.
The DC Grays hosted a special clinic held at Andrews Airforce Base for 150 children of active military personnel. It was supported by the MLB Players Trust and the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore. Washington Nationals players Clint Robinson, Ben Revere, Sammy Solis and Blake Treinen, as well as Washington Nationals Manager Dusty Baker and coach Jacques Jones all came out and provided personal instruction and interaction with the kids.
A clinic at the end of the DC Grays season was hosted for 160 young boys and girls that attended the Washington National Youth Baseball Academy’s summer program.
DC Grays players attended each clinic and offered instruction and insights into the game. And free DC Grays baseball hats were made available to everyone that attended each clinic.
These clinics wouldn’t be possible if they weren’t generously sponsored by the following companies from the Washington business community:
Cardinal Bank PWC Katten Muchin Rosenman Forest City Major League Baseball Players Trust
