 5/21/14 By: Grays Press On Monday May 19 the DC Grays held the first “Cigars and Curveballs” event to help raise proceeds for the DC Grays Youth Baseball clinics that will be held at the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy (dates and times TBD). The event was generously hosted at Shelly’s Backroom and hosted by ESPN 980 talk show host and Washington Times columnist Thom Loverro. Mr. Loverro became a new member of the Grays Board of Directors earlier this year. The Grays would like to give special thanks to all that attended and all of the generous sponsors of the event (Signature Cigars, J.C. Newman Cigar Co., Ashton, Jameson, Brandmuscle, The Glenlevit, Next Car, ESPN 980, “Pardon the Interruption”, and Shelly’s Backroom). Here are some great images from the event:
