By: Grays Press Some former DC Grays players have been named to their respective school’s conference “All-Conference” team. The honor recognizes stand out seasons that each player had this spring. Here is a quick list of our former players being honored. DJ Miller (Grays ’13) DJ finished the regular season with the top batting average of .417 to lead the conference. That was good for sixth in the nation and also has landed DJ as a candidate for USA Baseball’s Golden Spikes Award as the top amateur player in the country. READ MORE HERE Jason Yano (Grays ’13) (pictured above) Jason was named to First-Team all CUNY Athletic Conference and Second-Team all Empire 8. Yano put together an impressive season both as a second-baseman and as a pitcher. READ MORE HERE Scotty Ward (Grays ’13) After a shortened 2013 Grays season due to injury, Scotty has bounced back this spring picking up where he left off last season at Florida Tech. Ward finished this season with a 5-2 record, and led the club with a 1.98 ERA. His 1.98 ERA was the third best in the conference. READ MORE HERE
