By: Grays Press This week’s report highlights two former Grays who have earned “co-Offensive Players of the Year” honors at their school and a new Gray receiving All-Conference honors. Go Grays!!!! Former Grays Greg Olenski (Grays ’13) and Zach Lopes (Grays ’12) have been named “Co-Offensive Players of the Year by the Coaches at the University of Delaware. Olenski when with the Grays not only was an All-Star in the Ripken league but also was the HR Derby winner that season as well being named to the All-League team. Lopes also finished as one of the top Short Stops in the Ripken league back in 2012. Lopes and Olenski finished the regular season with the top two batting averages for the Blue Hens.
