GAME PREVIEW (Grays vs Red Birds)
By: DCGrays.com Press The Grays(3-4) are back at home tonight to start a 2-game home stand taking on first the 4-time defending champions of the Ripken League, the Baltimore Redbirds(5-2). The league is coming off it’s weekly off day and the Grays are coming into tonight’s game winners of two straight games. Both games were won in different fashion, one behind an outstanding pitching performance by Jacob Erikson (San Diego State) and the second by the bats of the Grays mainly combined with some good help from Jake Joseph’s (Old Dominion) 7 innings of excellent relief pitching. Tonight’s starter on the mound for the Grays will be Matt Dalke (SE Louisiana) who current posts a record of 0-1 with a 10.12 ERA. He looks to get into a better groove after two semi-rough appearances so far this season. “I think this could be the start that puts Matt over the top for us and gives him a solid role for us moving forward in the season” said Grays General Manager, Antonio Scott. Tonight’s first pitch is at 7p at the home of the DC Grays, Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy (3675 Ely Place SE, Washington, DC).
