GAME PREVIEW (Grays vs T-Bolts) 6-23-2016
By: DCGrrays.com Press As the Grays(8-6) come into tonight’s home game versus the Silver Spring/Takoma Thunderbolts(7-7) on a four game winning streak, they also come into tonight’s game tied for first place in the Ripken League South division. The Grays look to stay on the streak and remain in first place as the pitching and offense have blended well during this streak. Bo Burrup(BYU) will be tonight’s staring pitcher for the Grays. He looks to make a bounce back from his last start on June 13 against the Gaithersburg Giants in which as the starter he gave up 6 runs (4 earned) in just a short 3 innings of work that day but the Grays did end up getting the win 13-9 in extra innings. Burrup has however been very good out of the pen so far this season as he is second in the league in strikeouts with 20. “He’s such a good pitcher who commands the strikezone when he’s in a rhythm. We like our chances with him out there” said pitching coach Chris Nee. First pitch is scheduled for 7p at the home of the DC Grays, the Washington Nationals Youth Academy (3675 Ely Place SE, Washington DC)
