GAME PREVIEW (Grays vs Giants) 7-5-2016
By: DCGrays.com Press For what has been a dreadful season to this point the Grays definitely needed yesterday’s off day for some rest and hopefully a reset on the season. The Grays(9-16) are technically not out of the playoff hunt as of yet and have a chance to turn around this heart breaking season. Tonight the Gaithersburg Giants(11-12) will visit the home of the Grays, the Washington Nationals Youth Academy tonight at 7p. This will be the last meeting between the two ball clubs this summer unless a playoff showdown occurs. Tonight on the mound as the starting pitcher for the Grays will be Evan Jordan (SE Louisiana). With an 0-2 record and an ERA sitting at 5.40, Jordan is coming off his best performance for the Grays in last start in which he went 6 innings and allowing 2 earned runs (4 total) while striking out 5 batters. The Grays lost the game 4-1 to the Alexandria Aces. The first pitch for tonight’s game is scheduled for 7p at the home of the DC Grays, the Washington Nationals Youth Academy (3675 Ely Place SE, Washington, DC)
