Grays play Aces and host Little League players tonight

After last night’s crushing loss by the Baltimore Redbirds last night, the Grays(3-5) will host the current Ripken League South Division leaders in the standings the Alexandria Aces(6-2).  The Grays look to bounce back and get back into the win column with David Giusti (Lafayette) starting on the mound tonight for the Grays. Giusti is currently 1-0 with a 6.35 ERA. His first outing of the season versus the Rockville Express ended up in a win 8-4 win for the Grays and Giusti’s first win of the season. “He will build on that first performance and give us a solid start tonight, we need it!” said Grays Manager Reggie Terry.

As a special treat tonight the Grays will also host the Mamie Johnson Little League. The organization will honor all the players, coaches, staff and administrators of the growing little league who also plays a bulk of their games at the Nationals Youth Academy which also is home to the Grays.

First pitch is scheduled for 7p at the home of the Grays….Washington Nationals Youth Academy (3675 Ely Place SE, Washington, DC)
