Redbirds hammer GraysJuly 12, 2012 – The DC Grays were treated rudely on their return home to Hoy Field, as the league-leading Baltimore Redbirds scored 14 runs on 13 hits and beat the Grays 14-6.
The loss dropped the Grays’ record to 11-15 in their inaugural season in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League. There were some offensive highlights for the Grays. CF Billy Bissell (Gallaudet) had three hits including a home run, and drove in four runs. RF Josh Powell (Alcorn State) had three hits, and SS Zach Lopes (Delaware) had two hits including a home run.
