Grays beat River Dogs, snap skidJuly 16, 2012 – The DC Grays broke their recent mini-slide with a solid 8-2 win over the homestanding Vienna River Dogs. The win raised the Grays’ record to 12-16 in their inaugural season in the Ripken League.
Grays 2B Mike Genovese (Seton Hall) led a twelve-hit DC attack with three hits, while C Manny Cabreja (Columbia), DH John Beaubien (Seton Hall) and 1B Kris Moules (Morehead State) each chipped with two hits. On the mound, Joel Castillo (Morehead State) picked up his third win of the season with seven innings of excellent work–scattering four hits while striking out five.
