Game suspended in 10th inning, Grays lead T-BoltsJuly 7, 2012 – A wild game between the DC Grays and the Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts was suspended in extra innings, as a local Silver Spring ordinance mandated that the stadium lights at Montgomery Blair Stadium had to be turned off by 11:00pm.
The game was suspended in the middle of the 10th inning, minutes after the Grays had taken a 15-10 lead but before the Thunderbolts were able to bat in the bottom of the inning. The game was suspended in place and will be picked up where it left off when the two teams meet again in Washington on Sunday, July 22 at 5:00pm. The game will be played to its conclusion and will be followed immediately by the regularly-scheduled game. All statistics from the game will become official at that time. The Grays tavel to Baltimore on Monday to play Youse’s Orioles at 7:00pm at Bachman Park.
