Grays fall to ExpressJune 14, 2012 – A late rally by the DC Grays wasn’t enough to overcome the shutdown pitching of the Rockville Express, as the Grays were on the short end of a 2-1 decision at Hoy Field. The loss drops the Grays to 3-5 on the season.
Grays starter Joe Donino (Columbia University) went five and a third, allowing two runs on four hits with four strikeouts. Grays pitchers Chris Nee (Catholic University) and Blake Louscher (Central Michigan) combined for three and two-thirds innings of shutout relief. Grays RF Joshua Powell (Alcorn State) had the Grays sole RBI on an eighth inning home run. Click here for stats and the boxscore.
