Grays fall to Express

June 14, 2012 – A late rally by the DC Grays wasn’t enough to overcome the shutdown pitching of the Rockville Express, as the Grays were on the short end of a 2-1 decision at Hoy Field. The loss drops the Grays to 3-5 on the season.

Grays starter Joe Donino (Columbia University) went five and a third, allowing two runs on four hits with four strikeouts. Grays pitchers Chris Nee (Catholic University) and Blake Louscher (Central Michigan) combined for three and two-thirds innings of shutout relief. Grays RF Joshua Powell (Alcorn State) had the Grays sole RBI on an eighth inning home run. Click here for stats and the boxscore.

The Grays look to return to winning ways June 15, at Hoy Field against the Vienna River Dogs at 5:00pm.
