Grays to Host Capitol Hill Little League

The DC Grays of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League are proud to host some of Washington’s finest youth ballplayers and their families tomorrow at Hoy Field.

The Grays will host two teams from the Capitol Hill Little League at their home game tomorrow against the Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts at 5:00pm at Gallaudet University.

Two teams from the Little League’s 12-and-under division—the Potomacs and (coincidentally) the Grays—will get to meet the DC Grays players before the game and go out onto the field with the players for pre-game introductions. Two lucky players will serve as batboys for the game, and will sit in the dugout with the players. The visit was organized by Don Montuori, one of the commissioners of the Capitol Hill Little League.

“We are thrilled that the Capitol Hill Little League will be attending one of our first home games of the new season,” said Mike Barbera, president of the DC Grays. “We want to reach out to baseball fans of all ages from all over the DC community, and we hope that this visit is the first of many for families of the Capitol Hill Little League.”
