Grays drop historic opener at Hoy FieldJune 6, 2012 – The DC Grays played their historic inaugural game at Hoy Field at Gallaudet University last night—an old fashioned pitchers’ duel won by the visiting Alexandria Aces by a score of 2-1. The Aces staff held the Grays to just one run on five hits. Two of those hits came from Grays 3B Troy Marrow (NC Central), who also made a sparkling defensive play at the hot corner. On the mound for the Grays, lefty Jarred Forestieri (Felician) went five strong innings, allowing just one run on two hits while striking out six.
