New Sponsors Support Grays

Two new sponsors support DC Grays

July 2, 2012 – DC Grays Baseball is proud to announce the support of two new Inaugural Season sponsors. The Glover Park Group and Microsoft have both signed as sponsors for the remainder of the 2012 season.

While both companies will receive the full range of sponsor benefits, Glover Park Group will also sponsor all pitching changes at Hoy Field. Each pitching change during every Grays’ home game will be a “call to the bullpen, sponsored by the Glover Park Group” and will be announced over the public address system.

As a volunteer-driven community non-profit, the Grays rely on sponsors to help fund the operations of the DC Grays in their inaugural season in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League. Sponsor funds are also used to help defray the costs associated with the Grays extensive community outreach program, which includes free baseball clinics for boys and girls from the local DC community. The Grays hosted a clinic at Hoy Field at Gallaudet on June 21 with the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation and the MLB Players Trust, and additional free clinics are being planned for later in July. By making the great game of baseball available to all children, regardless of income, the Grays want to be “ambassadors of baseball” for Washington, DC.

Glover Park and Microsoft join a growing list of Grays 2012 sponsors, including Under Armour, Congressional Federal Credit Union, CBS Corporation, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Mac’s Tire Service, Monument Policy Group, the Diamond Dream Foundation, the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, Tech Painting, and the National Association of Homebuilders.
