RF Jawan McAllister (Pittsburgh) sent a solo shot over the bullpen into straightaway left in the opening frame. C Evan Pace (SE Louisiana) followed suit with a dinger of his own in the bottom of the fourth. Offensive production was spread out between the two through six hitters, each recording an RBI. The two homers were the first two given up by normally strong Aces pitching staff. Only one pitcher was needed for the Grays. RHP David Giusti (Lafayette) threw six and one third shutout innings.
